Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer to perform tree trimming and maintenance using bucket trucks and related tools. A strong candidate will have prior aerial lift experience with a utility vegetation crew and a valid driver’s license.

You may be dispatched to storm work and must pass a background check and drug screen as required. The role emphasizes safety, equipment care, and collaboration with the General Foreperson.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Ability to identify tree species accurately for safe pruning and removal.
• Knowledge of electrical hazards and safe operating procedures around energized lines.
• Familiarity with PPE and protective measures for elevated work.
• Capability to work at significant heights in varying weather conditions.
• Must maintain first-aid and CPR certification; emergency rescue procedures knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and enforce safe practices on site.
• Prepare trucks and materials as directed by supervisor.
• Perform tree maintenance and trimming as assigned.
• Clear debris and maintain tools and equipment.
• Work at heights and near utility lines with proper rigging.
• Assist crew members and respond to storm restoration needs.
