Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer for Texas operations. The role requires 2–3 years of professional aerial lift experience, knot/rigging knowledge, and the ability to identify tree species.

You will work with bucket trucks and other equipment to trim, prune, and remove trees near utility lines. Candidates must pass background/drug screening, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be willing to travel for storm restoration work.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience operating an aerial lift trimmer or Jarraff.
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Must be able to identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors and aerial techniques in emergencies aloft.
• Must be able to work at heights under varying weather conditions.
• Must possess or obtain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must be able to administer emergency rescue techniques and tree rescue.
• Must wear required PPE at all times.
• Must travel for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules.
• Prepare truck and materials as directed by General Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance duties as directed by General Foreperson.
• Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches near lines.
• Clean up and dispose of all debris.
• Maintain and track tools and equipment used daily.
• Continuously improve climbing and tree maintenance skills.
• Assist other crew members in daily activities as needed.
• Safeguard workers and the public from hazards, maintain clean work area, communicate with team.
