Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is hiring an Aerial Lift Trimmer to trim, prune, and remove trees with bucket truck support. A minimum of one year in aerial lift trimming and line clearance is preferred; driver’s license is a plus.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, prepping equipment, maintaining tools, and assisting crew; travel for storm restoration work is required as needed. This full-time role offers health benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Able to identify tree species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors and aerial techniques in emergencies.
• Capable of working at considerable heights under varying weather conditions.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and enforce rules.
• Prepare truck and materials as directed.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed by Foreperson.
• Clear/trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Improve climbing/tree maintenance skills continually.
• Assist other crew members in daily activities.
• Safeguard workers and public from hazards; maintain clean work area.
• Perform storm work duties as needed.
