Job summary

Mariani Enterprises, LLC in Petoskey, MI is seeking an Aerial Lift Operator to safely perform aerial tree care using bucket trucks and spider lifts. You will prune, remove, rig, and install tree support systems with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and efficiency.

The role requires knowledge of ANSI A300 standards, ability to mentor teammates, and a willingness to pursue CDL Class A training if needed. Competitive hourly pay with strong benefits and a family-of-companies culture.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and teamwork.
• Intermediate knowledge of pruning, removals, rigging, and tree care.
• Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions.
• CDL Class A preferred or willing to obtain through training.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Ground Technician duties as needed to support crew operations.
• Safely operate bucket trucks, spider lifts, and other aerial lift equipment.
• Conduct pre-job hazard assessments and develop safe work plans.
• Inspect ropes, rigging equipment, PPE and aerial lifts prior to use.
• Perform aerial pruning and tree removals per ANSI A300 standards.
• Execute intermediate rigging to lower limbs and sections safely.
• Install tree cabling and bracing systems with proper techniques.
• Assist with crane-assisted tree removals when applicable.
• Maintain awareness of hazards and communicate with ground crew.
• Keep lifts and tools maintained; maintain tidy, professional job sites.
• Mentor and assist in training of less experienced crew members.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance arboriculture knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.
