Job summary

Justhelicopters is seeking a skilled helicopter pilot to operate a twin-turbine aircraft in mountainous terrain to support fire suppression efforts. You will transport personnel and equipment, perform aerial retardant drops, and coordinate with ATC and ground teams.

Responsibilities include pre/post-flight inspections, single-pilot operations, documentation for FAA and Fire Department, and ongoing training and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA helicopter pilot certs with applicable ratings.
• Experience operating in mountainous terrain and during firefighting missions.
• Strong communication with ATC and ground units.

Responsibilities

• Operate twin-turbine helicopter over mountainous terrain to support firefighting.
• Transport personnel and equipment during fire suppression operations.
• Use helicopter accessories for aerial drops of retardants.
• Drop hose in fire areas and patrol mountains for fires or missing persons.
• Re-seed burnt areas from the air and perform pre/post-flight inspections.
• Conduct single-pilot operations and maintain FAA/fire dept documentation.
• Communicate with ATC and supported ground units; participate in briefings and trainings.
