Job summary

Summit Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a Chief Pilot with extensive firefighting, long line, and training experience. The role oversees pilot qualifications, scheduling, and compliance for a multi-operations fleet in Virginia.

Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential for daily operations and customer interaction. The position includes interaction with our 145 repair station, RTS maintenance flights, and responsibility for maintaining flight documentation and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Must hold an FAA commercial pilot certificate (helicopter) with Class 1 or 2 medical.
• Requires strong leadership and judgment in team operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the GOM, Ops Specs, and critical documents.
• Manage pilot qualifications, schedules, and operational readiness.
• Admin duties related to customer billing.
• Interface with the 145 repair station management.
• Perform pre- and post-flight inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
