Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department seeks a rotor-wing pilot to provide high-quality air medical transport in a safe, efficient manner. The pilot will work as a proactive team member in flight and ground operations, communicating effectively and adhering to company standards and FARs.

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA Commercial Certificate with rotorcraft.
• Must hold helicopter instrument rating.
• Must hold FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Total flight hours: 2,000.
• Helicopter hours: 1,500.
• PIC helicopter hours: 1,000.
• Turbine hours: 1,000.
• Night flight hours: 200.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a schedule as set forth by the company.
• Ensures aircraft readiness for flight dispatches per manuals and FARs and company requirements.
• Accurately completes required paperwork (duty shift change forms, load manifests, time sheets) within due dates.
• Continues in educational betterment (computer training, ground training, and flight training).
• Disseminates flight operation information to shift change pilot per policy.
• Conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Attends meetings and is available for training and check-flights outside normal shift rotation.
• Upholds current company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties during scheduled shift as requested.
• Maintains safety as the primary concern.
