Job summary

Highmark Health seeks an Emergency Medical Technician/Advanced EMT to deliver urgent care in both prehospital and hospital settings. The role requires navigating high-stress environments, administering medications, and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure patient stability.

The candidate will drive EMS vehicles, provide advanced life support, document accurately, and maintain equipment across EMS units in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or GED.
• PA AEMT license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the AEMT level.
• 1 year experience in the field of prehospital care (preferred).
• ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives emergency vehicle.
• Provides advanced life support and transport in the prehospital setting.
• Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards.
• Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education
