Job summary

Lone Star College-Houston North Greenspoint seeks an Advisor II for the AEL Grant to help students plan degrees, enroll, and align with program requirements across campuses and partner sites.

You will manage advising caseloads, track progress, and ensure compliance with grant standards while delivering career guidance and referrals. Requires a Bachelor's degree and bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily and some long-term advising caseloads for AEL program operations.
• Meets with high volume of prospective, new, and continuing students on a regular basis to track their academic progress and success.
• Enters, tracks and maintains a variety of data, including documents, enrollment forms, testing score sheets, spreadsheets and databases.
• Advises students on proper course selection for all grant-funded non-credit certificate programs.
• Provides coaching and advising to students on skills to develop a clear and attainable education plan and goal.
