Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a Workforce Advisor for Adult and Education Literacy (AEL) grant programs. The role serves as the first point of contact, advising students on degree planning, course selection, enrollment, and policy compliance.

The position spans LSC-Houston North Greenspoint, LSC-University Center @ Montgomery, and partner sites. The advisor will handle high-volume meetings, maintain student data, provide referrals for certificates and degree transfers, and support career

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily advising caseloads for AEL program operations and maintains up-to-date knowledge of the AEL grant
• Meets with a high volume of prospective, new, and continuing students to track academic progress
• Enters, tracks and maintains data such as enrollment forms, testing score sheets and databases
• Advises students on course selection for grant-funded non-credit programs including High School Equivalency or GED, ESL, and training certificates
