Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. seeks an Advocate to provide direct advocacy services to youth and families across Alameda County. The hourly, full-time role emphasizes strength-based wrap-around planning and community engagement to support youths aged 14–21.

The position offers a flexible schedule with evenings and weekends, mileage reimbursement, and weekly pay. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with youth, especially from at-risk backgrounds.
• Knowledge of community resources and support services.
• Ability to work with diverse populations in a collaborative and culturally sensitive manner.
• Provide quality documentation and progress notes within deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; EHR experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and insured transportation required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are a plus.

Responsibilities

Status: Full-Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Salary: $55,000-$58,38

Flexible Schedule may require evenings and weekends.

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Full-time position serving youth and families throughout Alameda County is available.

• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.
• The primary responsibilities of the Advocates are to initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap-around model
• This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage and activity reimbursement.
• Participants age range from 14-21 year of age
