Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. seeks passionate Advocates to support youth and families in Livingston County, NY. This hourly, part-time position offers guidance, resource navigation, and advocacy to help clients achieve their goals.

As a Part-Time Hourly Advocate you will work with youth and families across the community, schools, and home environments, delivering wrap-around services and collaborative supports to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance coverage.
  • Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.

Job Summary

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Advocates to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with youth and families to provide guidance, support, and advocacy. You will help them navigate challenges, access resources, and achieve their goals.

Status: Part Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non‑Exempt

Summary of the Position: This is an hourly, part‑time Advocate position serving youth and families throughout Livingston County.

Hourly Rate: $19.50 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings.
  • Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • Develop and implement programs and activities that promote individual personal growth and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and organizations to coordinate services.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength‑based approach using the wrap‑around model.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement.
