Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a part-time Advocate to serve youth and families across Oakland County. The role emphasizes direct advocacy in schools, communities, and homes, using wraparound, strength-based plans. Candidates must be dependable, thoughtful, and capable as a positive role model.

The position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and the possibility of mileage reimbursement, with a focus on community-based support and resource navigation.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
• Proficient Computer Skills; EHR Systems a plus.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking a plus.
• Required to have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Advocate services in schools, communities, and in the homes.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Summary of Position: Hourly, Part-Time positions serving youth and families throughout Oakland County,

• Applicants must be dependable, committed, and positive role model to serve youth and families in schools, communities, and in the homes.
• Primary Responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop, and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model

Position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement.

Hourly Pay: $17.50 per hour

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Proficient Computer Skills, Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems is a plus
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking a plus.
• Required to have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance coverage.
