Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Hourly Advocate to serve youth and families in Florence and La Grande areas. The role focuses on direct advocacy, wrap-around planning, and supportive services with a commitment to positive youth development.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, experience with youth or social services, and strong communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Flexible hours and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience with at-risk youth or juvenile justice is a plus.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office.
• Experience with EHR systems is a plus.
• Requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans based on a wrap-around model and strength-based approach.
• Maintain reliable and timely documentation of services and progress.
• Serve as a positive role model for youth in school, home and community settings.

Job description

Status: Part Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: We are currently seeking a Part-Time Hourly Advocate serving youth and families throughout Florence and La Grande Area is available.

• We are looking for individuals with experience working with youth, preferably in juvenile justice, mentoring, behavioral support, education, or social services.
• Candidates must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to compete accurate and timely documentation.
• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and youth involved in the juvenile justice system is a plus.
• Applicants should be comfortable using computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a plus.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
