Job summary

AltaGas seeks a Policy Coordinator to support the Advocacy team in advancing policy goals at federal, state, and local levels. You will help develop and execute policy activities, research, and communications to engage advocates and stakeholders, advancing our mission.

Key duties include monitoring policy developments, drafting communications, tracking campaign metrics, and supporting government affairs outreach. Strong writing, data analysis, and clear presentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred in public policy, political science, communications, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in policy, advocacy, or public affairs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to translate technical information for broad audiences.
• Proven data analysis and ability to present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring, researching, and tracking local, state, and federal policy developments.
• Assist in drafting communications for public affairs campaigns.
• Weekly tracking and reporting of metrics related to campaigns.
• Support government affairs outreach to government officials as directed.
• Draft fact sheets and other collateral related to policy priorities.
• Develop advocacy updates for newsletters and social media.
