Job summary

Mariner Independent seeks a Director, Advisor Coaching & Strategy to act as a strategic advisor, coach, and thought leader for its advisor network. You will partner with advisors and leadership to enable growth and scalability through Mariner Independent’s platform, resources, and solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, advisor consulting, coaching, or practice management to independent channels.
• CFP® or equivalent designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a small team with clear priorities and high-quality programs.
• Act as trusted advisor to Independent advisors, enhancing growth through practice management and guidance.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify development needs and deploy coaching solutions.
• Design scalable coaching programs, onboarding frameworks, and career growth paths focused on communication and client engagement.
• Provide individual and group coaching to improve discovery, meetings, and executive presence.
• Facilitate workshops, role plays, and simulations to drive learning and adoption.
• Mentor emerging advisors and support long-term career trajectories.
• Create training guides, playbooks, and frameworks to drive consistency and measurable success.
• Help advisors leverage technology and wealth management solutions to grow their practices.
• Articulate value propositions clearly and communicate complex concepts engagingly.
• Develop KPIs, feedback loops, and performance benchmarks to measure impact.
