Lone Star College System is seeking a Manager of Advising to oversee advising staff and programs in Texas. The role involves planning and managing advising initiatives, VA and ESOL services, pre-enrollment sessions, advisor training, and assessments to improve student success.

You will also collaborate with local school districts on early college and dual credit programs, produce monthly activity reports, and participate in university center coordination.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience must include at least 3 years of experience in academic advising.

Mansioni

• Supervise full-time and part-time Advising staff; provide strategic direction, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure business process documentation is created and training sessions are conducted for staff.
• Ensure daily operations run smoothly and align with defined goals and processes.
• Provide guidance and solutions for issues requiring escalation.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through surveys and assessments; identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports detailing Advising activities and impact on student success.
• Develop assessments to gauge effectiveness of Advising initiatives.
• Advise students on course selection for degree programs and certificates; coordinate with University Center and partner colleges.
• Participate in committees, meetings, and workshops; collaborate with local districts on early college and dual credit programs.
• Undertake other related duties as assigned.
