Job summary

FOX 2 Detroit is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Sales Team across platforms, handling order entry, revisions, and reporting in WideOrbit; work with Account Executives and Sales Managers.

The role involves collaboration with digital sales, traffic, research, and other teams; the ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to learn WideOrbit and other media software.

• Ability to learn industry software, including WideOrbit, Media Sales, AOS, and other media platforms.
• Strong work ethic and collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in the WideOrbit Traffic system.
• Communicate with sales representatives and buyers regarding preempts, make-good offers, program changes, late runs, and other account activity.
• Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and buyers to address invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issues.
• Support Sales Management with political advertising, including maintaining contracts, ensuring FCC documentation is complete, and verifying cash-in-advance payments.
• Collaborate with the Traffic department on advertising copy management.
• Support other station departments and initiatives as needed.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.

Sales Assistant (Regular Full-Time)

Join the team at Detroit's top-rated news station! FOX 2 Detroit is a dynamic media organization delivering content across multiple platforms. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team player to join our Sales Team and contribute to our continued success.

As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the FOX 2 Sales Team and our efforts to drive revenue across all platforms. Your primary focus will be day-to-day support of Local Account Executives and Sales Managers while collaborating with digital sales, traffic, research, and other teams.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $21.65-24.05 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
