Job summary

The Post and Courier - York County is seeking an Associate Publisher/Advertising Manager to lead retail advertising revenue growth for our new York County start up, with strong client-facing duties including meetings and field work.

You will focus on new business development, crafting sales initiatives, meeting revenue budgets from concept to execution, and building deep relationships with key advertising clients through digital and print offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, journalism, communications or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of marketing or media sales experience required.
• Proven ability to meet revenue goals.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must reside in York County, SC DMA.

Responsibilities

• Achievement of monthly and annual revenue goals, growing total revenue as creatively and rapidly as possible.
• Emphasis on new business development and incremental account growth with cold calling, emails and proposals.
• Develop and present sales strategies for events, promotions, and digital campaigns.
• Input client information and sales activity into Hubspot CRM and manage pipeline.
• Represent the organization at community and business meetings to engage with decision makers.
