Job summary

Luna's Trail Farm and Event Center seeks an Adventure Program Manager to lead our Aerial Adventure Course and Low Ropes Course operations, delivering a safe, engaging guest experience. This role also supports event operations and grounds upkeep, offering variety, outdoor work, and meaningful interaction with guests.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in recreation management or related field and 2+ years guiding experiential programs, strong communication, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Recreation Management or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years experience leading experiential/adventure education.
  • Strong communication and customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the Aerial Adventure Course and Low Ropes Course, ensuring equipment is in working order and properly maintained.
  • Ensure activities comply with ACCT standards and internal safety policies.
  • Instruct and supervise guests, including safety checks and rescue procedures.
  • Maintain inspection logs, incident reports, and maintenance records.
  • Train and supervise course staff as the program grows.
  • Manage contract development and billing for adventure programs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide overall safety leadership while performing adventure activities.

Job description

Luna's Trail Farm and Event Center is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Adventure Program Manager to lead our Aerial Adventure Course and Low Ropes Course operations. This role is central to delivering a safe, well-run guest experience across our recreational offerings, while also supporting event operations and property upkeep. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, working outdoors, and interacting with others.

Primary Responsibilities
Aerial Adventure & Low Ropes Course Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the Aerial Adventure Course and Low Ropes Course,ensuring that all adventure and recreation equipment is in working order by performing cursory and periodic inspections and maintenance, and immediately reporting any need for replacement or repair.
  • Ensure all course activities are run in compliance with ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) standards and internal safety policies.
  • Instruct and supervise guests/participants, including donning equipment, safety checks, and rescue procedures.
  • Maintain inspection logs, incident reports, and equipment maintenance records.
  • Train and supervise additional course staff as the program grows.
  • Tracks and manages contract development and billing for all adventure programs, and ensures timely delivery.
  • Maintains proper training and ensures optimum safety at all times while performing all adventure activities & reduces the likelihood of physical or emotional/medical/healthcare issues.
Activity Rentals Support
  • Assist with setup, guest orientation, and oversight of other rental activities, including biking, archery, and geocaching.
  • Support golf cart rentals (tentative).
  • Ensure equipment for these activities is well-maintained and stored according to manufacturer’s recommendations and/or any oversight body requirements.
Event Support
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces and equipment.
  • Serve as additional event staff as needed, including serving, bartending, and bussing.
Grounds & Landscaping
  • Perform routine landscaping duties including mowing, weedeating, and weeding to maintain the property's appearance and safety.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree required, studies in Recreation Management or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in leading experiential and/or adventure education.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Position involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent ability to reach with hands, arms, and fingers to handle or free objects using tools or controls.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to spend long periods of time standing, bending, stooping, and walking around the facility.
  • Visual ability including distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Able to climb stairs repeatedly.
  • The physical ability to work at heights for extended periods of time.
  • The physical ability to tolerate required personal protective equipment such as closed-toe shoes, work gloves, ear protection, dust masks, safety belts and safety shoes on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and event-based hours.
Preferred
  • ACCT Level II Practitioner Certification (required as a minimum, or must have at least 200 logged hours of challenge course facilitation experience) and/or ACCT Challenge Course Manager Certification (candidates without certification but willing to obtain it will be considered).
  • Current certification in CPR/First Aid, and advanced medical training, such as Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness First Aid.
  • Experience with landscaping/grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Food/beverage service or bartending experience.
  • Experience with archery, biking programs, or similar outdoor recreation activities.
