The Town of Chapel Hill is seeking an Adventure Program Specialist to supervise and lead adventure activities at recreation centers, parks, and trails. You will support a wide range of outdoor activities, ensure safety, and work year-round with evenings and weekends as needed.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with several years in adventure/outdoor recreation, certified in archery and belay, and capable of assisting participants with diverse needs while upholding safety and community values.

Qualificações

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Three+ years participating in adventure/outdoor recreation programs.

Responsabilidades

• Participate by supervising participants of all ages and encouraging inclusive play.
• Lead games and activities, promote skill development and exploration; assist participants with special needs.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment; inspect, maintain, and address safety concerns; administer basic safety checks.
• Communicate with staff, parents, and participants; mediate conflicts and provide feedback.
• Uphold Town of Chapel Hill values: responsibility, equity, safety, professionalism, ethics, communication, teamwork.
• Attend to injuries with basic first aid; complete reports; restock supplies; CPR/AED as needed.
• Learn and grow through orientation and trainings; provide and receive feedback.
• Set up and break down activities; drive a 15-passenger van when required; support facilities.
