Job summary

Camp Birch Hill is seeking Adventure Staff for the summer season to work with children ages 6-16 in a classic New England setting at the foot of the White Mountains. Staff teach High Ropes, Rock Wall and Zipline, belay, and follow safety protocols while joining a close-knit community.

You will live in a cabin, enjoy campfires, and travel with coworkers on days off, with housing and meals provided for the duration of employment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Comfort with belaying and heights.
• Willingness to receive training on safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach High Ropes, Rock Wall and Zipline to campers.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities.

If you are passionate about working with children and looking for a close community, join us for an unforgettable summer! We are currently seeking Adventure Staff for our 2026 season! Our Adventure Staff are camp counselors who teach our High Ropes, Rock Wall, and Ziplineclasses.To apply, you should be comfortable belaying, working at height, and following safety protocols.We will prioritize applicants with experience working at a ropes course or climbing gym, but are willing to hire folks with belay experience who are interested in receiving training.

Camp Birch Hill is a classic New England summer camp. We are an all-gender camp for ages 6-16 at the foot of New Hampshire's White Mountains. With a focus on fun, our elective program lets campers choose from over 50 activities to create their own personalized schedule. The camp is nestled into the woods against a pond with 2,000ft of waterfront and a private sandy beach. We have a high ropes course, an arts and crafts pavilion, a theater program, sports fields, tennis courts, water sports, and much more.

When not navigating through our courseor teaching campers how to climb, AdventureStaff get the full camp counselor experience. You will spendthe summer sleeping in a cabin, enjoying evenings around a campfire,traveling around New England with co-workers on days off, and building close-lasting connections within our small community.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and be available for the entire season: June 16th - August 8th, 2027. Housing and meals are provided for the duration of employment.
