Job summary

CAMP Birch Hill is seeking Equestrian Staff for the 2027 summer season. You will act as a camp counselor in the stables, helping teach horseback riding and manage equestrian activities for a close-knit all-gender camp in New Hampshire. Housing and meals are provided for the season, with a June 18–August 8, 2027 timeframe.

• Experience working with children in a camp setting.
• Knowledge of basic horse care and stable management is helpful.
• Ability to teach or assist riding classes with patience and safety awareness.

If you are passionate about working with children and looking for a close community, join us for an unforgettable summer! We are currently seeking Equestrian Staff for our 2027 season!

Our Equestrian Staff are camp counselors who teach our Horseback Riding classes and help manage our stables.

Camp Birch Hill is a classic New England summer camp. We are an all-gender camp for ages 6-16 at the foot of New Hampshire's White Mountains. With a focus on fun, our elective program lets campers choose from over 50 activities to create their own personalized schedule. The camp itself is nestled into the woods against a pond with 2,000ft of waterfront and a private sandy beach. In addition to our stables, we have a high ropes course, an arts and crafts pavilion, a theater program, sports fields, tennis courts, water sports, and much more.

When not working at the stables, Equestrian Staff get the full camp counselor experience. You will spendthe summer sleeping in a cabin, enjoying evenings around a campfire,traveling around New England with co-workers on days off, and building close-lasting connections within our small community.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and be available for the entire season: June 18th - August 8th, 2027. Housing and meals are provided for the duration of employment.
