Job summary

YMCA of Greenville is seeking an Adventure Cabin Leader for Camp Greenville, an outdoor program that serves youth aged 10-17. You will supervise a cabin group, participate in trips, and support campers in exploration and growth. The role requires enthusiasm, responsibility, and a commitment to safety.

You will live with the group at the camp and on trips, providing 24/7 supervision while fostering connection, confidence, and character. Prior camp or youth-work experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old or graduating high school by June 2027.
• CPR/First aid certification or ability to obtain before June 2027.
• Experience working with youth ages 10 to 17.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct guidance and supervision to a cabin group of campers aged 10–17; assist with assigned trips.
• Live with cabin group at camp and on trips with 24/7 supervision.
• Ensure campers' health and well‑being mentally, emotionally, and physically.
• Lead adventure trips including backpacking, camping, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, and canoeing.
• Model camp values and maintain safety and integrity at all times.
