YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a cause-driven Adventure Division Leader to join our summer leadership team. You will coordinate adventure trips, support the connection between adventure and base camp, and serve as a mentor to Trip Leaders and cabin leaders.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old by June 2027.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain before June 2027.
• Meet Camp Greenville minimum requirements to drive a 15-passenger van.
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).

Responsabilités

• Heavily supervisory and requires experience in 2+ adventure areas (backcountry camping, ropes course, mountain biking, caving, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, canoeing, backpacking).
• Lead and assist in executing adventure trips with Program Director, handling problems and conflicts professionally.
• Train adventure staff in trip conduct, Outback program, campsites, rock climbing, mountain biking, caving, rafting, and canoeing.
• Work with other Division Leaders to support base and adventure camp packout needs.
• Support senior leadership in summer program management and decision making.
• Create trip schedules, order food, and purchase supplies and equipment.
• Assist with high adventure facilitation (high ropes, zip line).
• Assist with staff evaluations throughout the summer.
• Serve as a role model upholding camp values with integrity, creativity, and safety.
• Ensure health and well-being of campers mentally, emotionally, and physically.
• Approach responsibilities with enthusiasm, professionalism, and creativity.
• Adhere to abuse risk management training and mandated reporting procedures.
