Job summary

YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a cause-driven Adventure Division Leader to join our summer leadership team. You will coordinate adventure trips, support base camp integration, and serve as a role model for staff and campers.

The role requires supervisory experience across multiple adventure areas, strong safety judgment, and the ability to train guides. CPR/First Aid required or obtainable before June 2027. You will work with the Program Director and other division leaders all summer.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising adventure staff in outdoor programs.
• Ability to coordinate adventure trips to run effectively.
• Must be 20+ by June 2027 and CPR/First Aid certified or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist Program Director in executing adventure trips.
• Lead and train staff in trip conduct, Outback program, campsites, rock climbing, mountain biking, caving, rafting, and canoeing.
• Create trip schedules, complete food orders, and purchase supplies and equipment.
• Support senior leadership team in decision making and program management throughout the summer.
• Assist with evaluations of staff throughout the summer.
• Uphold camp values with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind at all times.
