Job summary

Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake seeks an Advancement Manager to lead fundraising programs, staff, and donor engagement. You will oversee annual giving, membership growth, grants, and events, ensuring strategic alignment with the museum’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, or a related field.
• 3–5 years nonprofit fundraising experience preferred, with annual giving, grants, events, or campaign support.
• Proven experience in development, fundraising, or advancement roles, preferably in cultural/nonprofit organizations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Technologically proficient with donor management software (Blackbaud preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to articulate mission, case for support, and funding priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to lift/move materials up to 25 pounds for events and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day advancement operations, staff, and systems for fundraising and membership growth.
• Lead planning and execution of Annual Fund and Gala, and support campaigns and grants.
• Ensure programs maximize philanthropic revenue and donor engagement across initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to drive donor stewardship and special events.
