Job summary

The Adirondack Experience (ADKX) seeks a dedicated Advancement Manager to lead fundraising operations and staff within the Office of Advancement. You will drive annual giving, memberships, grants, events, and campaigns to maximize revenue and growth.

You will plan the Annual Fund and Gala, oversee grants and ensure efficient program execution, while collaborating across teams. A nonprofit fundraising background in culture or museums is preferred, with a passion for the Adirondack region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, or related field.
• 3–5 years nonprofit fundraising experience; including annual giving, grants, events, or campaigns.
• Experience in development, fundraising, or advancement roles, preferably within cultural or nonprofit settings.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Tech-savvy with donor management software (Blackbaud preferred) and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to articulate the mission and funding priorities.
• Ability to travel and lift/move materials up to 25 pounds.
• Passion for arts, culture, and Adirondack community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day advancement operations and staff within the Office of Advancement.
• Lead fundraising programs including annual giving, membership, grants, events, and campaign activity.
• Plan and implement the Annual Fund and Gala; support campaign strategy and execution.
• Oversee a comprehensive grants program and ensure efficient execution of initiatives.
• Collaborate across departments to maximize philanthropic revenue and membership growth.
