Job summary

Texas A&M University - Texarkana is seeking an Advancement Engagement Officer to plan and execute strategic university events, strengthening community engagement and regional economic development. You will support donor cultivation, annual giving campaigns, and student leadership initiatives while collaborating with advancement staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related experience, with travel and confidentiality obligations as part of essential duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience.
• Experience in higher education advancement, donor relations, or nonprofit fundraising preferred.
• Experience coordinating donor cultivation and stewardship events.
• Familiarity with fundraising campaigns, donor engagement strategies, and volunteer leadership programs.
• Experience with event management software and CRM/database systems.
• Demonstrated ability to create high-quality guest experiences and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of university events to strengthen community engagement, visibility, and regional economic development.
• Develop and manage all aspects of event operations including budgeting, logistics, vendor coordination, catering, audiovisual needs, guest experience, communications, registration, and post-event stewardship.
• Direct and manage the university’s annual giving program, donor engagement strategies, annual campaigns, Giving Day initiatives, and stewardship activities.
• Manage student leadership programs to develop leadership and ambassadorial skills and support student engagement and university representation.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, generate reports, and analyze event data to support strategic planning.
• Represent the Office of Advancement at events and perform duties in support of institutional goals.
