Job description

ADVANCEMENT COORDINATOR

Full-Time Exempt

This position is open until filled.

Are you a details person who also likes making things happen? Keep reading.

The UCC Office of Advancement is looking for an Advancement Coordinator — part organizer, part project wrangler, part event magician, and all-in teammate.

This isn't a job where every day looks the same. One morning you might be processing a donor gift or assembling materials for a Foundation Board meeting. By afternoon, you could be coordinating an event, drafting a donor communication, updating records, solving a problem nobody saw coming, or helping turn a slightly wild idea into something that actually works.

We're a small, collaborative team responsible for telling UCC's story, building relationships, raising resources, and creating opportunities for students and our community. The mission matters here. We want someone who understands that behind every spreadsheet, scholarship, donor letter, event, and perfectly organized board packet are real people whose lives are being changed by education.

You might be our person if you:
  • Get genuine satisfaction from making chaos organized.
  • Notice the detail everyone else missed — and fix it.
  • Can manage routine work accurately without needing routine days.
  • Take initiative, follow through, and don't need someone standing over your shoulder.
  • Write well, communicate warmly, and aren't intimidated by donors, board members, executives, students, or the occasional complicated spreadsheet.
  • Can juggle multiple projects and figure out what actually needs to happen first.
  • Are comfortable saying, “I've got it,” and then actually getting it done.
  • Believe that no lone wolves make the best teams — you share knowledge, ask for help, pitch in, and celebrate wins together.
  • Care about the people behind the work and want your job to mean something.

And because culture matters to us, a few things you should know: We assume noble intent. We tell the truth kindly. We aim high. We make it happen. We empower people to own their work. We laugh, celebrate, and work hard because the work matters.

To be successful, you need to be curious, organized, dependable, willing to learn, comfortable taking ownership, and excited about UCC's mission.

If you want to be the person who helps a great team turn big ideas into real impact for students and our community, we'd love to meet you.
