Job summary

RECONN Utility Services in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a utility locator with at least 1 year of locate experience to safely locate, mark, and document underground utilities. You will research, document, and accurately record locations using CAD/GIS familiarity and field sketches.

The role requires outdoors work, ability to travel, overtime/weekends, and a safety‑sensitive drug screen; the company provides training, a company vehicle, and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year locate experience.
• Must be able to travel.
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions; outdoor experience is a plus.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground utilities safely and accurately.
• Research and document all utilities in an area; complete paperwork and location documentation.
• Record data using field sketches, GPS and data collection as needed.
