Job summary

RECONN is seeking a utility locator in Santa Fe, NM for a full-time role focusing on safe locating of underground utilities outdoors in varying weather. Travel may be required and overtime could be needed. The job emphasizes accuracy, safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of locating experience, with CAD/GIS/MicroStation familiarity being a plus. Training and company resources support your success while you contribute to infrastructure protection.

Qualifications

Text JOBS to 811DIG (811344) to connect with our hiring team today! The starting pay for this position starts at $28.00/hr. - $35.00/hr., depending on experience. This Position is based out of Sante Fe, NM. This position requires a minimum of 1 year locate experience, preferably with Gas and Communication. As leaders in the utility industry concentrating, on quality and safety, RECONN is looking for people to join our team who are problem solvers, take pride in public safety and are comfortable in a fast paced, exciting work environment.

Your Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the correct, safe and efficient locating of underground utilities.
• Taking time to thoroughly research and investigate all underground utilities in an area, properly marking the location, completing the necessary paperwork and documenting each location.
• Documentation can consist of electronic field sketching, GPS and Data Collection.

This is a full-time position, overtime will be required.

Ideal candidates will have advanced locating experience with all utilities, a demonstrated commitment to quality, and attention to detail. Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements)

• Minimum of 1 year locate experience
• Must be able to travel
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
• Customer service experience is a plus
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position)
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required
