Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a dedicated Sonographer to perform general ultrasound, vascular studies, and echocardiograms. You will work independently, apply sound clinical judgment, and participate in on-call coverage as needed to support patient care.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols, and collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and the imaging team to deliver high-quality diagnostic

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in health science or related field preferred.
• New Mexico Sonography License required.
• ARDMS/ARRT/CCI sonography certifications required.
• Must have two qualified modalities (general, vascular, cardiac or OB/GYN).

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, and echocardiogram studies independently.
• Apply independent judgment during the exam to determine imaging needs.
• Recognize and document abnormalities in general ultrasound, vascular exams, and echocardiograms.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment; document results in PACS/EMR; assist with on-call duties.
