Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque is seeking an Ultrasound Specialist to perform a broad range of general and vascular ultrasound examinations, supporting radiologists and clinicians in a patient-centered imaging program.

The role emphasizes high-quality imaging, documentation, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and safe, efficient patient care. Sign-on/relocation available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Specialized vascular ultrasound training may be considered with prior ultrasound training.
• Current New Mexico DMS license or eligibility; ARDMS registry within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging procedures.
• Assess patients, review histories, and correlate findings for appropriate imaging.
• Obtain and evaluate high-quality images and document measurements for interpretation.
• Identify normal/abnormal findings, communicate urgent results, and seek guidance when needed.
• Educate patients about procedures and ensure comfort and safety during exams.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and maintain sterile technique.
