Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program; associate degree, diploma, or equivalent ultrasound coursework.
• Current New Mexico Diagnostic Medical Sonographer License (DMS-NM) required; provisional/temporary licensure may be considered.
• ARDMS registry eligible at time of hire and two registries within two years.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Preferred: experience in general and vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general and vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Utilize imaging technology to provide accurate diagnostic information for clinical decisions.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and collaborate with radiologists.
• Contribute to a culture of quality, safety and continuous learning.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

New Mexico DMS license (DMS-NM) required

ARDMS registries within 2 years of hire

BLS certification

ARDMS registry eligible at time of hire
