Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARDMS certification in NM Diagnostic Medical Sonography within one year of hire.
• Must hold and maintain NM licensure (DMS-NM).
• Provisional or temporary license may be considered.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Transmit ultrasound images to PACS and coordinate exams.
• Educate patients about the procedure and obtain pre/post exam data.
• Maintain exam records and required documentation.
• Assist physicians in biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Position and transfer patients safely and maintain sterile technique.
• Attend trainings and meetings for professional development.

Education

Registered Diagnostic Med Sonographer, ARDMS

New Mexico State Licensure (DMS-NM)
