Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related health science or graduate of an accredited program preferred.
• New Mexico Sonography License required.
• Sonographer certification by ARDMS/ARRT/CCI required.
• Two qualified modalities must be listed as initial licensure (AB/OB/GYN/BR/PS/RVT/RVS/AE/PE).

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, and echocardiogram studies independently.
• Demonstrate knowledge of general ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, and echocardiography.
• Apply independent judgment to determine need for image enhancement and document abnormalities.
• Maintain patient safety and sterile technique; ensure accurate EHR documentation.
