Job summary
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) seeks a Technical Operations Technician II to join the Electrical Traffic Operations team in Basin, Wyoming. You will inspect, install, upgrade, and maintain traffic signals and related electrical systems to ensure a safe, reliable transportation network for the region.
Key qualifications include IMSA certifications, a Wyoming CDL Class A within 30 days, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of progressive work experience in Technical Operations at the technician level.
- Possession of valid Class C driver’s license; Class A CDL within 30 days of employment.
- IMSA Work Zone Traffic Control Safety, IMSA Signal Technician Level I & II certifications.
- BST knowledge of MUTCD, NEC, and electrical theory for 12V DC to 480V AC.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, install, upgrade, and maintain electrical/traffic control devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and contract installations oversight.
- Monitor operations remotely or on-site and provide traffic control as needed.
