Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) seeks an Engineer II for the Traffic Program in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The role supports the supervisor in traffic design, reviews studies, performs engineering analyses, and contributes to signing and work zone control design in accordance with MUTCD and WYDOT standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
0–3 years of progressive engineering experience.
EIT license or FE required.
Knowledge of MUTCD and highway design manuals.

Responsibilities

Performs and reviews traffic engineering studies and mitigations.
Reviews Traffic Impact Studies for statewide impacts.
Analyzes crash data and recommends mitigations per MHC/MUTCD.
Assists in work zone traffic control and signing plans.
Supports updating WYDOT traffic policy manuals.
Learns MUTCD and WYDOT standards practices.
