Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (typically in Management).
• 0–2 years of progressive work experience (highway maintenance/construction).
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• NCCCO Crane Certification.
• Defensive Driving certificate.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Flagger certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises highway maintenance operations of a crew and assigns daily activities.
• Schedules crew for shifts and on-call coverage, assigns labor and equipment.
• Identifies training needs and conducts or coordinates training.
• Conducts performance appraisals and ensures required online training.
• Keeps maintenance equipment serviced and scheduled for repairs.
• Oversees safety briefings and ensures crew uses protective gear.
• Maintains communication with supervisors and district staff.
