Job summary

RTX is seeking a dynamic Test Technician in Cheshire, CT to design, fabricate, and document innovative test equipment for production and engineering evaluation testing. The role includes supporting test projects, upgrading equipment, and ensuring EH&S compliance.

Minimum 10 years of experience and an AA/AS degree or equivalent 2-year training are required, with U.S. Person status for export‑authorized positions. Salary ranges from US $66,800 to $127,200 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• AA/AS degree or equivalent 2-year post-high-school training.
• U.S. Person status (for export-authorized positions).
• Electrical Engineering 2-year degree (preferred).
• Experience with small electromechanical or gyroscope-like assembly/products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, fabricating, and documenting new test equipment for production and engineering evaluation testing.
• Support test engineering projects, including upgrading existing test equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Reverse engineer and document existing cables and equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and wire to J-Std 001 requirements.
• Follow calibration procedures for troubleshooting systems.
