Eversource Energy is seeking an engineer to join the Advanced Modeling and Forecasting Team within System Planning. The role focuses on Synergi Electric modeling, MATLAB automation, and model governance to deliver technically rigorous planning studies for distribution investments.

Responsibilities include 8760-hour and contingency analyses, data-driven recommendations, and cross-functional collaboration across IT, DER planning, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or quantitative field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in utility power system planning or related field.
• Demonstrated ownership of MATLAB-based tools or automation workflows.
• Experience with Synergi Electric and EMT-related studies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced Synergi Electric special studies (8760-hour analyses, N-1 contingency studies, fault current studies).
• Develop, execute, and document scenario-based planning analyses.
• Provide clear, defensible technical recommendations to planners and leadership.
• Support medium- and long-range distribution planning studies.
• Automate Synergi Electric Solver execution and batch processing of large study sets.
