Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an Engineer to join the Advanced Modeling and Forecasting Team within System Planning. This role centers on hands-on Synergi Electric modeling and MATLAB‑based automation to support distribution planning and governance.

The incumbent will perform 8760-hour analyses, N‑1 contingency studies, fault-current studies, and develop scalable workflows for solver automation and data visualization, collaborating across IT and engineering teams to deliver defensible planning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or quantitative field preferred.
Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced Synergi Electric special studies (8760‑hour, contingency, fault current).
Develop, execute, and document scenario-based planning analyses comparing wires and non-wires solutions.
Automate Synergi Electric Solver execution and batch large-scale studies.
Support Synergi Electric Model Management and data exchange with PSCAD.
Collaborate with planning, engineering, IT, and DER teams; produce decision-ready reports.
