Qualifications

• Two years scheduling experience in a physician clinic.
• Two years of registration experience.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Surgery scheduling and registration preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules surgery, office and ancillary department appointments.
• Completes prior authorizations and referrals.
• Coordinates with departments, physicians offices and patients regarding procedures and tests.
• Provides administrative and secretarial support to the surgery clinical staff.
• Handles database management, record and file keeping and answers incoming calls.
• Other duties include clinical coding and patient billing.
