Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Sonographer to join a dynamic Imaging team in Milwaukee. You will perform general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound studies in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications include an accredited sonography program and typically at least 2 years of experience. Weekend/h holidays rotation may be required, with a $6,000 sign-on bonus and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced training through an accredited sonography program.
• Typically 2 years of Sonography experience; new grad considered.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Differentiates between normal and pathologic findings.
• Reviews patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy; obtains necessary clinical information.
• Positions patient and selects transducer and factors for accurate imaging.
• Ensures patient safety, comfort and adherence to procedures.
• Documents findings and codes in the radiology information system.
• Mentions equipment performance issues and evaluates new products.
• Mentors students and staff as a technical resource.
