Job summary

Appliedcontrol is seeking a Solutions Consultant focused on Advanced Process Control in Colorado. You will drive APC opportunities, promote Emerson/AspenTech solutions (including DMC3), and translate customer needs into value-based strategies while coordinating cross-functional teams.

You will present to executives and engineers, support proposals, and travel to sites as required to ensure project success and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with advanced process control, model predictive control, process optimization, or industrial automation in process manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with Emerson and/or AspenTech platforms, especially AspenTech DMC3 or related APC and optimization solutions.
• Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to engage technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, workshops, site visits, and project support.

Responsibilities

• Lead APC related opportunities through each stage of the sales process, from customer discovery and qualification through solution strategy, value development, proposal support, and transition to project execution.
• Position Emerson and AspenTech APC solutions, including AspenTech DMC3, to address customer needs and deliver measurable operational improvements.
• Translate requirements into solution strategies, implementation approaches, preliminary scopes of work, and value-based recommendations.
• Deliver customer presentations, executive briefings, technical workshops, and solution demonstrations that communicate the value of APC.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, delivery, and partner teams to develop proposals, estimates, pursuit strategies, and implementation plans.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer and internal stakeholders on APC readiness, project dependencies, adoption considerations, and sustainment needs.
