Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing in San Diego, CA is seeking a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a 13-week assignment on the Trauma service. You will provide inpatient trauma coverage on the Trauma Floor and Stepdown Unit, perform daily rounds on up to 15 patients, and manage progress notes and discharge planning. 12-hour day shifts, including weekends, with holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Must maintain Acute Care certification.
• Must maintain BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Must maintain NCCPA certification.
• Must maintain a valid California PA or NP license.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient trauma coverage on the Trauma Floor and Stepdown Unit (INU).
• Perform daily inpatient rounding on up to 15 patients per day.
• Complete daily progress note documentation.
• Conduct patient evaluations and provide ongoing clinical management.
• Manage patient discharges and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care across the trauma service.
• Provide general clinical support for the trauma service as needed.
• Manage a fast-paced and variable-acuity inpatient trauma population.
• Work collaboratively with approximately 2 APPs per shift.
• Maintain current Acute Care certification.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Maintain current NCCPA certification.

Pay Rate: $125 - $130/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a temporary assignment in San Diego, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):

• Provide inpatient trauma coverage on the Trauma Floor and Stepdown Unit (INU)
• Perform daily inpatient rounding on up to 15 patients per day
• Complete daily progress note documentation
• Conduct patient evaluations and provide ongoing clinical management
• Manage patient discharges and discharge planning
• Coordinate care across the trauma service
• Provide general clinical support for the trauma service as needed
