Rothman Orthopaedics in Marlton, NJ seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to support the Urgent Care. Schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating basis, weekdays only.

The APP will evaluate and treat orthopaedic patients, stabilize injuries, order diagnostics, and coordinate follow-up care. Requires NJ APP licensure and CPR, with 3+ years in ER/urgent care and 2+ in orthopaedics.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited APP program.
• Active licensure as a NJ APP and CPR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the ER or Urgent Care settings.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in orthopaedics.
• Orthopaedic or Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and treat orthopaedic patients in the Urgent Care setting.
• Stabilize acute and subacute orthopedic injuries; apply splints and braces.
• Order X-rays and other diagnostics; arrange follow-up as needed.
• Prescribe physical therapy and manage patient instructions.
• Document encounters and coordinate with RI attending physicians.
• Coordinate with Urgent Care PAs/NPs to create monthly coverage.
• Assist patients with follow-up planning and disability paperwork.

Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to support our Marlton, NJ Urgent Care!Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule (8:00 AM - 7:30 PM). All shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday, with no weekend requirement.Job Summary:The APP evaluates and treats patients with orthopaedic problems in the Urgent Care office environment.Evaluates and treats patients during office hours to assure high quality and efficient Orthopedic care. Participates in all aspects of ambulatory patient care.Stabilization of acute and subacute orthopedic injuries/conditions. Orders and applies splints and braces.Instructs patients and family regarding treatment instructions and medications.Assist patients and staff with arranging timely and appropriate follow up.Responsible for ordering and reviewing X-rays during office hours.Orders advanced diagnostic studies and helps to arrange follow up to go over results.Prescribes Physical Therapy for patients.Writes, faxes and/or phones in prescriptions for patients.Completes patient school/work notes. Arrange follow up if patient needs Disability forms filled out.Dictates and documents all patient encounters.Reviews available past medical history of who present to Urgent care for orthopedic problems.Performs joint reduction, joint aspiration and joint injections for appropriate orthopedic conditions.Consults with RI attending physician to discuss management and plan of care on as needed basisCommunicates with RI physicians, RI Staff and outside consulting physicians regarding patient care.Coordinates with Urgent Care PAs/NPs to create a monthly coverage schedule.Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.Qualifications:Successful completion of an accredited APP ProgramActive licensure as a APP in NJ, active CPR CertificationMinimum of 3 years experience in the ER or Urgent Care settings.Minimum of 2 years experience in orthopaedics.Orthopaedic or Emergency Department experience preferredComfortable evaluating/treating acute orthopedic injuries and working up orthopedic problemsComputer skills including, but not limited to, MS OfficeOur Commitment to Employees:Come work at Rothman Orthopaedics!
