Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, Utah seeks an APP (NP/PA) to join the Structural Heart Cardiology team at Intermountain Medical Center. The role includes seeing new patients, monitoring pre/post operative inpatients, and routine visits in clinic and hospital settings with a 4-10 hour shift pattern and weekend rotation.

The position requires active APRN or PA licensure, NP/PA certification, state CSL and DEA eligibility, and BLS (ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed).

Qualifications

  • Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II–V
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II–V
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Additional certifications as required (ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP)
  • Minimum of 1 year of cardiology NP/PA experience; new grads with cardiology exposure may be considered

Job Description: NP or PA Structural Heart Cardiology - Murray, UT

About this role:

As an APP, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will work closely with the physicians and with their oversight, be responsible for seeing new patients, monitoring post and pre operative inpatients and routine visit patients in a clinic and hospital setting at Intermountain Medical Center. This APP position is full time. Clinic hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The APP will be working 4- 10 hour shifts per week between the clinic and hospital. In addition, will rotate weekends to consult and round on structural heart patients within the hospital. In addition: You will be accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within your scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as: Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease; Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation; Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems; Education of the patient, patient’s family, clinical staff, and others; Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan; Consultation with other healthcare providers; Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care; Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

What you’ll bring:
  • Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $57.33 - $88.47
