Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, UT is seeking an APP to join our Structural Heart Cardiology team. You will see new patients, follow post- and pre-operative inpatients, and manage routine clinic visits in both clinic and hospital settings with physicians oversight.

This full-time role includes 4–10 hour shifts per week and weekend rotations for consults and rounds on structural heart patients. You’ll work to maintain high-quality patient care, participate in education, and contribute to a strong

Qualifications

• Active state APRN or PA license.
• Board certification as NP or PA.
• Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II–V.
• Eligible for Federal DEA license II–V.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP or equivalent certifications may be required.
• Minimum 1 year of NP/PA experience in a cardiology setting.
• New grads with cardiology experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• See new patients and monitor pre/post operative inpatients and routine clinic visits.
• Collaborate with physicians under supervision to coordinate care.
• Provide care within the scope of practice and maintain documentation.
• Educate patients and families and ensure timely follow-up.

NP or PA Structural Heart Cardiology - Murray, UT

About This Role

As an APP, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will work closely with the physicians and with their oversight, be responsible for seeing new patients, monitoring post and pre operative inpatients and routine visit patients in a clinic and hospital setting at Intermountain Medical Center. This APP position is full time.

Clinic hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The APP will be working 4-10 hour shifts per week between the clinic and hospital. In addition, will rotate weekends to consult and round on structural heart patients within the hospital.

• You will be accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within your scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as: Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
• Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
• Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
• Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
• Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
• Consultation with other healthcare providers;
• Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
• Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
• Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an NP or PA in a cardiology setting
• New grads can be considered with previous cardiology experience or cardiology rotations
